Joe Feddersen
Joe Feddersen was born in Omak, Washington, on the edge of the Colville Indian Reservation. In his 20-year career, Feddersen has worked in painting, three-dimensional constructions like basketry and glass sculpture, photography and computer-generated imagery. He is best known, however, as a virtuoso printmaker. Much of his work is influenced by geometric designs derived from traditional Plateau Indian artistry, itself inspired by Northwest landscapes, flora and fauna. Feddersen was awarded an Eiteljorg Fellowship for Native American Fine Art in 2001.
